The New River Valley Home Builders Association presented Highlander Construction & Development with the Design Excellence Award on February 27, 2010 at its annual Inaugural Gala which was held at the Blacksburg Country Club in Blacksburg.

2008 Builder of the Year
On January 31, 2009 the New River Valley Home Builder’s Association awarded Highlander Construction & Development it most prestigious award designating the company as the 2008 "Builder of the Year".
